Terry Hall The Specials
NOW BOOKING ** THE SPECIALS / DJ SETS **
Terry Hall is the lead singer of 2 Tone group The Specials and was also part of many musical projects following his departure in 1981, including New Wave group Fun Boy Three, The Colourfield & Terry. Since reforming The Specials for a reunion in 2010 Hall has been busy touring with the band and some solo projects. This year marks the release of 'ENCORE' their first album of original material in 40 years.
When he’s not on tour, Hall frequently DJ-s at venues across Europe, giving audiences a chance to hear some of his favourite music from his own unique collection. Expect to hear an eclectic mix of songs ranging from early reggae and ska to pop, funk, soul and even disco.
Full tour dates for the band this year can be found on their website.
When The Orielles are not out on the road they spend their time listening to hot jams and assembling playlists for one another to listen to. Having spent many a night on the decks at friends' parties, The Orielles decided to exhibit their disco-groove expertise in a more professional setting. They have a number of successful sets under their belt, for example they were asked to DJ for The Pastels in Manchester, Greenman Festival and also a New Years Eve set in Manchester's Northern Quarter. The Orielles aim to blend 90s dance grooves with 70s disco and world music to create a feel-good atmosphere that will get you boogying all night long!
